I mentioned AnimeNEXT wanting help for '05 in the last e-mail and some
people weren't clear on what they wanted help with so here's the
lowdown:
"The main thing we really need people for right at this point is
security/safety staff. They get their own safety/security tshirts that
are
slightly different from the regular staff shirts, and they get training
pre-convention too this year so it's no big deal to not know how to do
it.
Also, we need a few good wo(men) who really love web design to revamp
the
website. The information needs organization, and if it looked awesome
that
would be a total perk.
In addition, we need artsy people to do the logo and promotional
artwork.
Also, we need general staff for other positions, so if there's an
interest
but it doesn't fall into website or security, then by all means contact
us
anyway."
You also get free food and a free hotel room for the con. That's
pretty
good stuff if you're planning to go to the convention. So yeah, if
you're interested e-mail me or go to the AnimeNEXT website to volunteer.
Also, just to mention something random, if you want to see a really
interesting use of pattern overlays in anime check out Gankutsuou
(which
translates to cavern king I think), the Count of Monte Cristo. It's a
sci-fi story that looks interesting so far, but that aside the
animation
of the clothing and hair in the show looks really really unique. I'm
not sure if they did it just to be weird or if they did it to take a
stab at what futuristic clothing and hair fashion might look like, but
it's definately spaztastic.

wow i havent written here in a while. so lets see...what has been up. lets start with what i have to do today...
usually wednesdays are my relax and easy day. only one class from 9-10 and then a programming recitation (that no one goes to unless it is to hand in hw) from 6-7:20. unfortunately, i had class from 9-10 then from 12-2 i have to sell tickets for the RX BANDITS show that is coming up Saturday...then be on the bus before 3:30pm for an away match in NY and then i have 3 club meetings to attend to after 9. i really like how im only in 3 clubs in my school and they all decide to meet up on Wednesday nights...
oh btw ISA im an officer in Anime Club!! YOu should come to hoboken on Fridays in my opinion :)
hmmm oh a couple weeks ago Lenny Simmich from back in the day sayreville (junior in rutgers) came to hoboken to chill while maria (my roommate) had her friend from Harvard here. she had theatre practice so me lenny and matt went to NYC. matt went to a floatation chamber in a shady place lol and me and lenny just walked around and had a great time talking and laughing. uhh at night maria and matt were like getting it on the bed while i was there! thats kinda interesting... they didnt do anything too irrational in front of me. lol. omg omg omg i was scarred for life after that. you see, its shocking to me because maria is such a sweet inooccent PRUUUUDUE girl. omgomgomg and all of a sudden she has a fling over the weekend and makes out in front of me...geez.
hmmm RX Bandits concert this Saturday at 7pm est. its 10 bucks for non Stevens Students. they're performing with Tub Ring and Chasing the Yellow Line. I get to go for free because I made the poster. /flex http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v13/leigne/rx1.jpg
i havent been able to go home in a while now. my weekends have been so busy...we've been having matches a lot recently. i think the season will be over in the beginning of november...unless it rains some more and things get postponed. i think i might come back next weekend. still not sure my tennis schedule yet. coach seems to always pull something out of his ass.
sayreville represent! it turns out that swmhs has more kids here than any other hs at stevens. theres 5 of us here! omgomgomgomg. except 1 we dont associate with (christine couzo) whom btw has like 5 boyfriends here along w/the guy she already had. eric bondar i dont see much he made other friends and hangs w/his gf (that goes to that other college). dan louis hangs w/me a lot cuz we have a lot of classes together. and jack is just around chillin and being himself... errrr and then theres me who knows a whole lot of people cuz of tennis, clubs, etc etc.
last night we were talkin about sayreville in dan's room and we reminisced about the good ol times and we talked about mike!!!!!! and he was like mike p was the coolest kid ever. HEHEHEHE much love for you!
oh and i went to newport mall in jersey city and owned at ddr...did my singles routine for dynamite rave. there was this line and i didnt feel like waiting (only one machine in the movie place) and im like okay guys, i'll give you 25 cents for me to just do one song. its gonna be freestyle and if you dont like it u can keep the 25cents. and the kid is like go ahead! EVERYBODY SHE'S DOING FREESTYLE. STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND WATCH OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! lol so i pwned that, thanked the kid, and walked away. and....then i got sad cuz i miss mike and our ddr routine. i told the world about us and they were like omgomgomg. i gotta go home and find that video of the insanity.
so now i lay here and prolly gonna get ready to go eat something cuz im starving. boo to starting the day.

Wow its October already. I feel like I have something to do thats really important, but i dont know what it is. ever get that?
anyway, its been over a month since classes started. doing so far so good i guess. I could be doing better and Im making my efforts. i miss sayreville though...which is ODD. i miss all my friends... especially JESS and STIV and ISA but isa like lives across the water and yet i still dont have the time to see her. i really wanted to go home this weekend and just chill, but i found out 2 days ago that i had 2 matches this weekend. saturday its ALL day cuz the guys and girls are going to union to play. sunday is just girls i think and its home...so maybe that'll be better. on top of that, weekends are suppose to be the days when i do hw...so its gonna be tight.
i made the rxbandits concert poster for SUMAC (stevens underground music...forgot what a and c was). it looks hawt and the president dude liked it a lot. anime club is tonight and we're starting the rourin kenshin ovas tonight. weee!
my roomate's going to boston this weekend. she leaves this afternoon. im planning to rearrange the room some time this weekend (maybe...). got a chem quiz and a physics quiz today. i hope my hum teacher doesnt give us a paper to write. >.< i got a B on the last one cuz he the computer messed up my enter after my first paragraph, so he was like, u dont have an intro. and im like...cuz that part is the intro and the tab got messed up. and he's like ohhhhhhhhhhhh i was wondering about that. :/ oh wellz
well gotta go to chem soon. hart hart everyone! |
